Balagbag Falls

Located beneath the mountain ranges of the Sierra Madre and just a few minutes drive from Pacific Reacreation Park (PARK), Balabag falls is a popular place to visit for nature lovers and adrenalin junkies looking for pure excitement. It is the most accessible among the ten waterfalls which are found in the town of Real.

The trail that leads to Balabag Falls is composed of 5 to 10 minutes that passes through a established trail. It is composed of a forested area until reaching a make-shift staircase made up of rocks that leads to a stream which then leads to Balabag Falls.

The falls is composed of two grand cascade, cascading through huge rocks and boulders. The first drop has a 50-foot tiered drop found on the upper portion of the falls. The second cascade has a 20-foot drop that plunges to a deep catchbasin ideal for diving called by adrenaline junkies as "leap of faith". The shallow part of the catchbasin is ideal for swimming and has a freezing water.
